Yetunde Omosa. It's Been Ages

Having worked tediously on her maiden album, Yetunde Farinloye- Omosa has released a master piece titled "It's Been Ages" According to the linguistic graduate from University of Ilorin, she said, ‘It’s my much awaited debut album. It’s been a long time coming and I’m so grateful to God for making this possible.” Taking us down memory lane she said, ‘I started my musical career at a tender age around age 8 in the church choir and I was greatly influenced by my parents who loved listening to music. I was exposed to different genres of music at an early age and over time I’ve just continued to grow and develop my gift.’ She added that ‘its Been Ages’ her new album is the first from her stable despite being around for a very long time. She said, ‘This is my 1st album. It’s a 10 track album. My brand of music is Contemporary Gospel My earliest inspiration was drawn from Rev. Dr Tunde Joda (Founding Pastor Christ Chapel international Churches CCIC) who exposed us to contemporary Gospel music. ‘I also draw inspiration from various artists like Tasha Cobs, Israel Houghton, Marvin Sapp, Fred Hammond, Whitney Houston, Cece Winnans and others.’ Yetunde Omosa said. The tracks are as follows; Been Ages; At your throne; You are Holy; Happy Day; I don’t know why; I Need a Change; The Excellent Way Ogo (Glory); Praise Jam and Moment’ Reacting to her perception about music, she said, ‘Music to me is everything whether I’m sad or happy. It’s soothing, its relaxing, it just brightens me up.” Her perception about gospel songs in Nigeria today, Yetunde said, ‘Gospel music is any music that is edifying and has a message of Christ love, salvation, His praise, His Worship, Faith and hope. I want people to experience God’s presence with my music, to be inspired and be happy whenever they listen to the songs.
